Grieving adults, as well as children, need the opportunity to express their feelings in a safe and caring environment and to know there are others like them.
The death of someone you love is one of life’s greatest stresses and an experience which affects us all at some point. The process of healing from such a loss is often a difficult job requiring time, energy and concentrated effort. The period of grief following the loss of a loved one may result in many behavioral, social and emotional changes. Adults and children face difficult adjustments. The Samaritan Counseling Center Bereavement Program attempts to aid those who are grieving make those adjustments, in understanding their emotional reactions and in better managing their lives.
Grief affects people of all ages. Grief counseling is the first step on the road to healing. Our therapists respect the uniqueness and challenges encompassed by grief. If you are grieving we encourage you to begin grief counseling. Samaritan offers individual counseling as well as grief support groups. We work with individuals of all ages.
