Dr. Lindsay Pate, Ph. D., joined the staff of Samaritan Counseling Center in February 2014. Lindsay is a Licensed Health Service Provider in Psychology in Tennessee and a member of the American Psychological Association with participation in the Society of Clinical Child & Adolescent Psychology and the Society for Family Psychology.
She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Japanese. Dr. Pate received her master’s degree and PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. Lindsay completed a pre-doctoral internship at the University of Tennessee Professional Psychology Internship Consortium in Memphis, TN. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA through Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Pate has given presentations on child abuse, anxiety disorders, and Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), a treatment for young children with severe behavior problems. Lindsay is thrilled to return home to Memphis and continue working with children & families in need. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys cooking & baking, reading, traveling, watching college sports (UNC basketball and Auburn football), and volunteering with animal rescue organizations. Lindsay is a member of Idlewild Presbyterian Church and enjoys participating in outreach & recreation ministries.
Children of all ages, adolescents, and families in a variety of areas including behavior problems, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, trauma, school problems, ADHD, learning disabilities, and child maltreatment. Lindsay also offers educational and psychological evaluation services for children, adolescents, and adults.
